Return Home!

Jews and Gentiles alike are all children of the Creator. Jews were given by G-d the Torah to follow and Gentiles are to follow the Noachide Laws. Below you can read more about the following topics:

  • If you are Jewish: return to true Judaism
  • If you suspect you are an Anusim or descended of Crypto-Jews: contact us so we can direct you to where you can begin your journey back.
  • If you are a Gentile that converted to so-called "messianic Judaism": Learn how you have been deceived and lied to.
  • If you are a Gentile who wants nothing more to do with idolatry: read below about our friends at Noah's House and become a Noachide Gentile.

Questions?   Doubts?   Lost?

You can return!

We must all ask ourselves difficult questions. We are all searching for answers. It is truly sad that in those most vulnerable periods of our lives, there are those who are trained to identify and take advantage of us during those delicate times.

Sometimes a sense of belonging or acceptance was what brought you to the “messianic” movement. Perhaps it was a lack of connection with your heritage. For some, it may have been a lack of knowledge concerning their own faith.

Whatever the reason was for straying from Judaism, Sha’arei Teshuva can help. When rendered into English, Sha’arei Teshuva means “Gates of Return” and for all Jews…the Gates are ALWAYS open!

“Teshuva” or “return” is possible and we are here to help you take those first steps back home. Even for those who have committed that most heinous of spiritual crimes of leading their fellow Jew astray (Jews by birth who convince others to convert to “messianism” ex: Jews by birth who become so-called “messianic rabbis”) may make Teshuva. They commit the great sin of poisoning their own soul while destroying the soul of another. The damage they do to themselves and their own community is absolutely tragic and G-d laments the loss of even one Jewish soul.

Sha’arei Teshuva can offer counseling to those who have been involved with “messianic” cults and help them re-integrate themselves into the Jewish fold. When you are ready, we can put you in touch with kind, caring, and understanding Rabbis that have ample experience in assisting returnees and help place you in a congregation where you can rediscover your connection to G-d and to your people. We follow your journey and assist you every step of the way. We know what you are going through and there is never any judgment

We also counsel families who have lost loved ones to these cults. Having seen first hand how missionaries and their deceptive tactics have torn families apart, we know how heartbreaking this can be. We have experience in comforting the families and providing the needed material and dialogue to dispel the myths and refute the claims of the messianic movement. That way we, along with the loved ones, friends, and the community, the family member can begin their road homeward.

Not Jewish?

Or Converted to "Messianic Judaism"?

We grieve for all the Gentiles who initially sought out true Judaism and instead of finding a legitimate synagogue or a real rabbi, were lead astray and ended up in a "messianic" imitation of a congregation. Many start out with good intentions; perhaps out of love for Israel, a strong bond with our heritage, or they identified strongly with our people. What a pity that messianic missionaries have no problem lying to those individuals by wrongfully representing what “messianic Judaism” is. The Jewish community has always welcomed genuine seekers to ask questions and even (after careful consideration and reflection) begin study for proper conversion, but  "messianic" missionaries continue to spread lies and half-truths concerning the nature of "messianic Judaism" as well as Judaism.

For those Gentiles that have been recruited into the ranks of the “messianic” or “Hebrew Christians” cults, we offer the following points of clarification:

  • “Messianic Judaism” is NOT an accepted form or branch of Judaism.
  • There are many forms of "messianic Judaism". They vary in to what extent the mimic Jewish observance ("orthodox messianic", etc.) and how they justify the erroneous belief in Jesus.
  • While it is true that the various branches of Judaism disagree on certain points from time to time, they are all united by the same belief that Jesus or “Yeshuah” is NOT the Jewish messiah and that he has NO place whatsoever in Judaism.
  • Beliefs in Jesus as a messiah (of any sort), prophet, "rebbe", etc. are simply not a part of Judaism and are considered idolatrous.
  • No matter how much the messianic cults try to appropriate or imitate our customs and traditions, they are completely outside of Judaism and will never be part of it.
  • No amount of observance, following of mitzvot (commandments), or outward appearance of Judaism can whitewash the practice of "messianic Judaism". No matter how pious a "messianic Jew" seems to be, they are NOT practicing Judaism if they believe in Jesus.
  • No stream or branch of Judaism views “messianic Judaism” as part of the Jewish collective. This is true from the most secular Jew to the most orthodox. It simply isn't Jewish!
  • It is absolutely false that the State of Israel recognizes "messianic Judaism" as a form of Judaism.
  • The history of Judaism and "messianic Judaism" gentiles are taught upon entering these cults is filled with falsehoods, misinterpretations,  and revision. For the real history of how "messianic Judaism" came about, ask us
  • There are legitimate ways to study Judaism and become Jewish. Ask us how.
  • Ever so often (though rarely), the so-called “rabbi” of a “messianic” congregation may have been born Jewish. Despite this, they do NOT represent the Jewish people and have effectively removed themselves from us.
  • If you are a Gentile and convert to “messianic Judaism”, you have simply converted to another form of Christianity an NOT Judaism.
  • Though you may love the Jewish people and Israel, you have, by becoming “messianic”, made yourself into what most Jews view as a major threat and at best see you as a nuisance.
  • You could choose to be a Righteous Gentile by being a Christian who accepts Judaism as a legitimate yet distinct religion, or by becoming a Noachide Gentile. Ask us how.
  • Jews have resisted attempts at conversion and proselytizing for centuries and will continue to do so. W have earned our right to worship as Jews and greatly resent the “messianic” obsession with converting us to their brand of Christianity.
  • There are better ways to express your love of Israel and the Jewish people than by joining a movement that has perpetuated a paganism, heresy, and idol-worship through deception and hypocritical imitation.
